The Mark Singleton Choir Scholarship

The Mark Singleton Choir Scholarship provides financial support to a promising college music student for one year, although it may be extended in some cases. The student sings with the Chancel choir, receiving experience and guidance in singing sacred music, mentored by section leaders and the Director of Music.

The scholarship was first established by Mark Singleton, Director of Music at Immanuel from 2004-2024, in honor of his grandfather. The Music Committee has reestablished the award in order to continue Mark’s vision of mentoring young singers, to increase diversity in the Chancel Choir, and to honor Mark’s legacy.

An anonymous donor’s original match of $1000 has already been exceeded! That donor has offered another opportunity and will match any gifts up to a total of $500, given by August 15th!
