Book study of Rev. Dr. William Barber’s new book “White Poverty: How Exposing Myths About Race and Class Can Reconstruct American Democracy.”
Please join Immanuel Church members and friends as we discuss the brand new book by Rev. Dr. William Barber II. Eddie Glaude Jr. describes the book this way: “Brimming with insight and prophetic fire, this book is essential reading for policy makers, moral leaders, and everyday folk concerned about our nation.”
We will hold two sessions, led by Cori Mackey and Anne Stanback, on September 4 at 7pm (by Zoom) and September 11 at 7pm (in the Church Parlor). Each will be a stand-alone session.
Ten copies of the book have been purchased and will be available to borrow. Contact Francene in the church office to sign one out: immanuel06105@gmail.com, or 860-527-8121.
Also contact Francene to sign up for one (or both) of the sessions.
