Stowe Prize Winner Discussion In Punished for Dreaming, Dr. Bettina Love examines the impact of changes to black education in the United States since the Brown vs. Board of Education decision. She sees many of the so-called reforms as being harmful to black students and asks us to look at how these policies, fueled by what Dr. Love calls ”white rage”, led to an educational system that walks hand in hand with a path to prison, by placing punishment before learning.
