As an environmentally conscious church, to strive, individually and collectively, to be good stewards of nature and the environment, and to address climate change through education and advocacy.
About Us
We strive to spread awareness to our community and anyone who is interested in creating their own pollinator garden. Over 80% of flowering plants require pollination by animals to successfully to reproduce and produce seeds and fruits. Plants and pollinators together provide the basis for life by converting the sunlight into food, materials for shelter, clean air, clean water, medicines, and other necessities of life.
Goals and Purposes:
Establish goals and actions to reduce the carbon footprint of the church and to establish sound environment practices of the congregation.
Raise awareness of church members of steps to safeguard the environment, integrate sound environmental practices in daily lives, educate and advocate for actions to protect the environment and address climate change.
Achieve Level III Status as a Green House of Worship as defined by the Interreligious Eco-Justice Network (IREJN).
Annual review and report to the Church Council on on the accomplishments of goals and actions of the EAC.
